After using the housing, I came to the conclusion that Light and Motion actually designed the system based on actual diver suggestions.  Light and Motion recently began shipping a housing for the Nikon D300, and it's definitely on my wish list.

A New Nikonos?
It's rumored that Nikon may bring back a digital version of the Nikonos. 

		I've taken more underwater pictures with a Nikonos than any other camera.  For years it was the workhorse of the industry, and I suspect
the vast majority of underwater images at National Geographic were taken with a Nikonos.
