it allow the photographer to create "portraits" (like the moray eel on the previous page), but it also grants the possibility of capturing a traditional "seascape" like the picture below.

Panoramic Portrait   A super wide-angle lens also allows you to merge the two styles (portraiture and panorama) in order to create an "idealized" diver picture.

Contrasting the silhouetted divers in the background with the diver in the foreground, adds a sense of proportion to the overall composition, showing what it's like to dive a vertical reef wall.
