Underwater Photography (continued)

Knowing the basics will increase your chances of successful underwater photography.  The Suggested Reading section offers a wide variety of books on the subject, ranging from beginning to advanced.  In addition there are fish identification guides, as well as other important reference materials.

Many of the subjects touched in the previous sections are covered in greater detail in the various equipment sections.  For example, knowing which lens to use, why certain strobes are better than others, or how to get that amazing over/under shot you see in magazines, are all explained.

The Tips and Tricks section is essentially a quick compilation of the highlights of this entire site.  If you don't have time to read all the sections, be sure to check it out.

Today's digital photographer can't get by without software.  Whether it's "tweaking" the picture to get just the right effect, or presenting an entire portfolio, the Recommended Software section will help guide the way.

The My Equipment section explains which equipment I use or have used, and what I look for in camera equipment, --it may help you to decide which camera system is right for you.

The Useful Links lists manufacturers/retailers of underwater equipment and other recommended sites.
