Spotted Moray Eel
Gymnothorax moringa

Also known as the white-jawed moray eel, spotted eels range throughout the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico and parts of the Atlantic.  They typically rest in holes in the reef, with their heads protruding.

Bonaire, Dutch Antilles

Sea Facts:

Dolphins have to be conscious to breath. This means that they cannot go into a full deep sleep, because then they would suffocate. Dolphins have "solved" the problem by letting one half of their brain sleep at a time. Dolphins sleep about 8 hours day in this fashion. The maximum age for bottlenose dolphins is between 40 and 50 years.
