Lizard Fish (Sand Diver)
Synodus intermedius

Lizardfish get their name from their long slender bodies and pointed "face." They bury themselves in the sand, with just their heads protuding, and wait to ambush unsuspecting fish and crabs.

Bonaire, Dutch Antilles

Sea Facts:

The gray whale migrates more than 10,000 miles each year, the longest migration of any mammal.
