Forster's Hawkfish
Paracirrhites forsteri

Like the scorpionfish, this fish ambushes its prey.  Unlike the scorpionfish, hawkfish are good swimmers and don't try to conceal themselves.  Instead, they rely on patience, perching motionless on corals and waiting for a potential victim to swim by.

Hurghada, Red Sea

Sea Facts:

Worms are common to the all the oceans. Some oceanic worms carry their own armament on their bodies. The bristles of fireworms are long and poisonous for defense, and are shed readily if a worm is attacked.

Fireworms are beneficial predators and scavengers on coral reefs. They are known to attack animals, such as anemones, ten times their size.
